Karl Straub leads courses, retreats, and teacher trainings across the US, Canada, and half a dozen other countries each year. His courses include Jivamukti Yoga, Thai Yoga Massage, Tibetan Heart Yoga, overtone chant, and related arts.
He attributes his progress to the support of his family and his many teachers from various traditions including David Life, Sharon Gannon, Swami Bua, Khen Rinpoche Geshe Lobsang Tharchin, Geshe Michael Roach, Christie McNally, Jonas Westring, Richard Freeman, and Keido Fukushima.
He is a graduate of Duke University and studied cognitive science at Columbia University. He is a former dolphin communication researcher, competitive swimmer, school teacher, legislative aide to a member of Congress, manager of a retreat center, and founder of the Ahimsa School. He currently serves as Regional Executive Director for Europe for the Yoga Studies Institute.
